Honey Balsamic Skirt Steak Salad

This summer salad is tossed with a bunch of garden veggies, herbs, and balsamic honey marinated skirt steak for a simple grilling recipe.

Honey Balsamic Skirt Steak Salad

Ingredients

1 lb. Skirt Steak
1/4 cup Manuka Honey
1/4 cup Butter
1/4 cup Balsamic Vinegar
2-3 Garlic Cloves, Minced
1/4 cup Fresh Basil, chopped
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Black Pepper
Arugula
Sliced Avocado
Goat Cheese
Pickled Onions
Sliced Peaches
Ripe Figs
Cheery Tomatoes

Method

Step 1
In a large resealable bag or baking pan, combine the honey, melted butter, balsamic, minced garlic, and chopped basil. Mix well.
Step 2
Add the skirt steak seasoned with salt and black pepper.
Step 3
Cover with plastic wrap and press down to cover the steak in the marinade.
Step 4
Let sit for at least 20 minutes and up to overnight.
Step 5
Preheat grill (or griddle on stovetop) to high heat, about 400-450F. Add the marinated steak to the heated grill to cook until desired internal temperature. For medium, you’ll want to cook 4-5 minutes on each side.
Step 6
Let the steak rest for at least 8-10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
